Work planning and design of the working environment
When designing the working environment, the employer must ensure that aspects relating to the safety and health of employees are taken into account. The physical and mental capacities of employees must be taken into account in designing and planning work.
Other individuals, such as designers of the workspaces or the machinery and equipment used in work, also have responsibilities relating to occupational safety and health, as safety needs to be taken into account already when planning the work and designing the workspaces. The most important decisions concerning the working environment are often made at this stage.
Proactive, staff-inclusive and interactive working environment design makes it possible to achieve design solutions that promote employee well-being, work performance, efficiency, well-being at work and job satisfaction.
